The medical name of nose aesthetics is rhinoplasty and it is a surgery to correct the external appearance of the nose. With rhinoplasty, bone and cartilage curvatures that cause nasal congestion can be corrected. The tip of the nose can be lifted and thinned, and bone protrusions, pits and other deformed parts on the nose can be corrected. If there are deviations to the right and left, it can be drawn to the midline. Rhinoplasty can be performed from the age of 18 onwards, if bone development is sufficient, it can also be performed at earlier ages with parental approval. There is no upper age limit, it can be performed as long as the person's health allows.
The person who will have rhinoplasty must be fully prepared psychologically for this surgery. It is appropriate for there to be full agreement between the doctor and the patient regarding the nose shape and a joint decision. The inside and outside of the nose must be examined endoscopically by an ENT specialist before surgery. Bone, cartilage (septum) and turbinate problems that may be detected in the meantime can be corrected with rhinoplasty. If there is an infection in the nose before the surgery, surgery should be planned after treatment with medication. When planning the ideal nose, other areas that should be proportional to the nose, such as the lips, forehead and chin, are evaluated and, if necessary, intervention can be made in these areas.
Dr. Ahmet SARI was born in Silifke in 1979. After completing his secondary education at Silifke High School, he graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine with the title of Doctor of Medicine in 2004. He started his specialization in Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases in 2005, completed his training as an Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases specialist in 2010 and presented his thesis on the surgical approach technique to Supraglottic laryngeal cancers. As an operator doctor since 2010, he has performed thousands of successful surgeries, especially in nose aesthetics, in public hospitals and the private sector. In addition, he has attended many courses and congresses regarding rhinoplasty and facial aesthetic applications. Additionally, he conducted academic studies on the hearing health of underwater rugby players at the Ege University Sports Health Sciences Institute between 2014 and 2020. He has been continuing his work as an operator doctor at Manisa Dr. SARI Examination since 2020.
