Lip Lift Surgery
In lip lifting surgery, an incision is made from the underside of the nose, where the upper lip area meets the nose. Excess skin tissue in the mustache area is removed to an acceptable length.
After the excess skin is removed, it is stitched together. The ideal vertical length of the mustache area is around 12-15 millimeters (mm). After the surgery, the distance between the upper lip and nose becomes shorter and the upper lips become fuller. Lip fillers can also be applied to people who want fuller lips. The location of the incision is hidden and shadowed by facial features.
It is normal for your lip to swell in the first 72 hours after surgery. The stitches will be removed within 7-10 days, allowing you to return to your daily life.
The procedure can be performed with local or general anesthesia. After the surgery, which takes approximately 30-45 minutes, you can go home and return to your daily life.
